Pour the oil into a medium saute pan and apply medium heat until oil barely shimmers, or a drop of water dances. Add chopped onions and stir, sauteing them until they turn translucent and slightly brown at the edges. Add in the chopped garlic, stir well for approximately one minute.
Add meat, USimplySeason Keema spice blend, ginger and green chiles and stir again, ensuring that the spice and sautee mixture is evenly distributed throughout the meat. Add 3/4c cup of water and bring the entire mixture to a boil for one minute.
Turn the heat down to medium and cover the pan, allowing the dish to cook for 30 minutes. Uncover, add salt, peas, cilantro, lemon juice and another 1/2 cup of water, allowing the Keema Matar Curry to simmer, covered, for another 10 minutes.
Serve with rice or warm naan bread for an authentic feast!
