The epitome of fresh, clean scent and flavor, mint leaves have been used throughout history for cooking, health and beauty - a practice that's enthusiastically continued today! This multitasking herb does double-duty when it comes to bringing a bright note to your cooking; Moroccan dishes in particular "play well" with the green aromatic tones of spearmint.

While fresh mint can be hard to come by, particularly in the colder months, USimplySeason 4 ounce bag is packed from the best fresh spearmint leaves that have been carefully dried, sifted, and cut to preserve the unique scent and taste of premium mint.

  • Generous 4-ounce resealable bag helps lock aromatic freshness in.
  • Cut and sifted thoroughly so you receive only the best.
  • Smaller pieces are easy to incorporate and steep faster.
  • Contains only dried spearmint leaves: no additives or preservatives.
  • Perfect for cooking, crafting herbal teas, bath, and mixing into body products.

Spearmint leaves, dried & cut

Sprinkle some in your cold salads or sauces, use a dash for plating and accenting, steep some for a flavorful and caffeine-free herbal tea, or mix into your health and beauty recipes for a kiss of nature's best.

(Mixology hint: If you're celebrating something special, try steeping these high-quality leaves in your Mint Julep ingredients for an extra kick of freshness!)

Mint Julep

If you can’t imagine serving lamb without the ubiquitous mint jelly, this recipe takes advantage of fresh mint, so it brings with it a bold, fresh flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups packed fresh or dried mint leaves and stems
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 ¼ cups boiling water
  • 1 drop green food coloring
  • 3 ½ cups white sugar
  • 3 ounces liquid pectin

How to make...

  1. Rinse mint leaves and place them in a large saucepan. Crush them using a muddler or the bottom of a glass. Add the water and bring the mixture to a boil.
  2. Remove from heat and cover, allowing the mint to infuse the water for 10 minutes.
  3. Strain the mint from the water and measure out 1 2/3 cups.
  4. Place the mint water into a saucepan and add lemon juice and food coloring.
  5. Mix in the sugar and bring the mixture to a boil over high heat. When it reaches a full rolling boil, stir in the pectin and boil for a full minute, stirring constantly.
  6. Skim off any foam from the top using a metal spoon and transfer the mixture to prepared jars.
  7. Process in a water bath for 10 minutes

Mint Leaves

They are awesome to make my tea with & honey. Cold brew for 24-48 hours, is the best.
