It's a quick and easy weeknight dinner that will instantly become a new family favorite. You'll love the way the rich, sharp cheddar sauce gets a fiery kick, creating a crave-worthy comfort food that's anything but ordinary.

📝 Ingredients:

  • 8 ounces of elbow macaroni
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups of whole milk
  • 1 cup of shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup of USimplySeason Harissa paste (recipe below)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

📝 Ingredients for Harissa Paste:

  • 2 tablespoons of USimplySeason Harissa powder

  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon of minced garlic

  • Juice of half a lemon

  • 1-2 tablespoons of wate

👩🏾‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Combine Harissa powder, olive oil, minced garlic, and lemon juice in a bowl. Gradually add water until a desired paste consistency is achieved.
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour to create a roux. Gradually whisk in milk, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.
  3. Cook macaroni according to package directions and set aside.
  4. Lower heat, stir in cheese until melted, and mix in Harissa paste. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Add cooked macaroni to the sauce and stir until well-coated.
  6. Serve immediately for a smoky, spicy twist on a classic comfort dish!
