Zaatar is a time-honored beloved herb that grows mainly in the Mediterranean region in the Middle East. Za’atar (zaatar, zahtar, zatar), pronounced za-ah-ta, is also the name of the spice blend that creates a deliciously unique flavor and aroma that you will love would not expect. Our zaatar is a simple mix of herbs, toasted sesame seeds, and sumac. It is an excellent all-purpose. Try it as a sprinkle on vegetables, chicken, or fish, or simply mix with good olive oil to form a paste, spread on a pita, and toast until crisp.

Mix with olive oil for a delicious dip, bread spread or meat rub.
